    In this study, circular filter paper is used as a thin combustible solid. The inclined angle of the filter paper surface was from 0 to 70 degree changed to investigate the flame spread along plate. "Terada phenomenon" in which the flame spread only in the downward direction was observed. We present about the flame spread along a combustible slope and present the consideration about the mechanism of the occurrence of Terada phenomenon from the experimental results obtained.
