Purpose; The exchange between elementary schools and elderly people
in a community has become active. It is pointed out that it comes from
urbanization and the change of family structure. We examined
the relationships between the "Satomago System" and the concept of
welfare in education with the government guidelines for teaching.
Method; The detailed examination of the materials related to the activities,
and the interview with the relevant parties.
Result & Discussion; The exchange with the elderly in the name of
"Satomago System" carried out at A elementary school in Tokyo was
recorded as classes of “Home Economics Education”
and “Special Activities”.
Since the activities are required to follow the direction of the government
guidelines for teaching, the activities have been secured by counting other
related subjects too.
Therefore, the "Satomago System" between elementary
school children and the elderly has been directed by the existence
of “Home Economics Education” as a subject to study "family"
to follow the government guidelines for teaching.
