In this research, we are investigating the simple calculation method using FEM software. The simplified calculation method obtained a result that was almost the same between the standard and the value to be predicted. If an accurate calculation result is obtained, it is necessary to use a conventional calculation method. It was confirmed that the calculation of NLCM was established using the function of FEM. It was confirmed that NLCM is established even if the element division of FEM is finely divided. It was confirmed that the auto step function of FEM had no effect.

The Time Series Prediction in the Natural World was performed using the Multidimensional Voronoi Tessellation method. The prediction was performed in a 3D to 6D space. As a result, the tendency of the change could be predicted, and relatively good prediction was possible especially in the 4th dimension.

This paper contains a report on the activities of the project at National Institute of Technology, Oyama College in 2019. In the ROBOCON Project, we are training engineers through robot contests such as KOSEN ROBOCON. In a regional tournament in KOSEN ROBOCON 2019, the two teams from our college won the first place and the second place respectively. In addition, both of the two teams qualified for a national competition. In the national competition in KOSEN ROBOCON 2019, we won the 2nd place of 26 teams.

Glioblastoma is a fast-growing glioma that develops from star-shaped glial cells that support the health of the nerve cells within the brain. Although researches about glioblastoma are increasing, effective treatments have not yet been developed. We investigate the effects of diosgenin and its glycosides on glioblastoma cells. We find that diosgenin and its glycosides have different effects on glioblastoma cells based on their different mechanisms. Glioblastoma cells whose proliferation is arrested by the presence of yam extracts exhibit stimulation of autophagy, including protein hydrolysis. Remarkably, coreajaponin, which is a glycoside of diosgenin, induces cell differentiation. Key to the differentiation is the activation of β-glucosidase, a glycosidase that exist in lysosomes. Coreajaponin stimulates autophagy activity in glioblastoma cells by signaling pathway of TGF, a cytokine that blocks growth signals.

A volumetric flask is a piece of laboratory apparatus that is used to make solutions with very accurately known concentrations. Many references describe that a funnel should be used to transfer a solution from a beaker to the volumetric flask so as not to spill the solution. We think, however, that the solution of the beaker can be easily transferred without the funnel because the beaker has an indentation in its mouth. In this study, we consider benefit of using the funnel based on experiment of 205 students. Although most of the students do not spill the solution without the use of the funnel, more than 70 % of the students answer that the funnel is required to prevent spilling the solution.

Waste coffee beans dregs (coffee grounds) have various recycling methods such as adsorption. In order to reduce and recycle coffee grounds, we try to combust coffee dregs and estimate adsorption experiment of nitrate ion-containing aqueous solution. It was shown that adsorption capacity was 735 [mg/g], and the adsorption data obtained from experiments were well-fitted to Langmuir isotherms. Sieved dregs show 46% by 500-1000 [μm] particles. All data suggested the chemical adsorption type of the nitrate ion and supported a result of non-combusted coffee dregs of the previous report.

Novel barium alginate membrane for applying to nanofiltration process was successfully prepared by the ion-exchange cross-linking between monovalent Na+ at carboxyl group of alginate and divalent Ba2+. Methyl Orange was permeated as a model component in order to determine the optimal agitation condition. Under sufficient agitation over 15 [s-1], it was found that the mass transfer resistance of laminar film can be ignored, and the overall mass transfer coefficient can be assumed to the membrane mass transfer coefficient for our experimental apparatus. The effective diffusion coefficient of model molecules was determined from mass balance equation. The noticeable dependency of effective diffusion coefficient in the barium alginate membrane on molecular weight of solutes was exerted since compact gel network consisting of barium ions and poly(guluronate) block.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the advantage and problem of the online class which used case method. As analytic materials, I use the record and data of the case method of " engineering ethics" in advanced course of our college in the 2020 fiscal year. In the class of engineering ethics, if we prepare a proper environment, the quality of online class will be maintained as well as face-to-face class.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the new physical fitness test in this year. The subjects were 677 students (Male; 555, Female; 122) of the National Institute of Technology, OYAMA College. Subjects were new physical fitness test of eight kinds (Grip strength, Sit up, Sitting trunk flexion, Side step, 20m Shuttle running, 50m sprint, Standing long jump, Hand-ball throw).
As a result, Male students were significantly lower than the National Average in many events. This result was similar to the results of last year. And Female students had significantly lower values of 20mSR (17 year group) and 50m (16 year group) than National Average. These results suggest implicate that there should be a need to increase the physical activity to improve physical fitness level.
