In late years interest in preservation and utilization of cultural assets or registration of the World's Cultural
Heritage rises among the nations. And the individual community-based town planning to put weight on the
significance of local cultural assets becomes active. To this, the so-called Historical Community Planning Law was
established by Agency for Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2008.
This report confirms conventional progress about these Historical Community Planning. And I examine the
current situations and issues.
In addition, I report significance and the activity plan of "Tochigi Historical Community Planning Center" which
was established as a satellite campus by Oyama National College of Technology. This institution uses a house
which is registered as national cultural property in the historic center of Tochigi City.

This paper considers "
reading aloud" in Japanese language learning.
A new study course focuses on the system of learning through elementary and junior high schools
as well as high schools. It requires the repetition of voice language activities such as
onndoku
(reading aloud for understanding the text contents),
rôdoku (reading aloud for conveying the text
contents), and
annsyô (reciting for appreciating the text contents). These activities provide the
foundation of speaking and communication abilities.
We have to ensure that there is sufficient time for voice language education and that we provide
students with the opportunity to read aloud.

The majority of teenagers in Japan go to college without having been taught how to engage in Internet
society in a morally responsible manner. Those bereft of rectitude engage in various problematic behaviors on
campus. In order to provide a hint of how to solve these problems, this paper will give an overview of the history of network/information ethics education in Japan and clarify issues and prospects with regard to Japanese
network/information ethics education. To clearly delineate the path to our current impasse we have divided the
history of Japanese network/information ethics education into roughly three periods: the late 1990s, the early 2000s and the late 2000s. An analysis of the salience of certain terms that have been used in network/information ethics for each of the three periods is provided. This examination is intended to clarify the aims of Japanese network/information ethics education; what little has been achieved and the crucial issues that remain to be resolved.

The purpose of this study was to examine physical fitness and motor ability based on the same age. This study
was used the data of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology for 42 years from 1965 to
2007.We compared the mean value of each year based on the same age. The results as follows; 1. In 50-m dash, it is showed a tendency to decrease gradually of measurement from to 9 years in males and females. 2. In long-distance running, it is showed a tendency to decrease gradually of measurement from to 19 years in males. But it is showed a tendency to increase gradually of measurement from to 19 years in females. 3. In standing broad jump, it is showed a tendency to decrease gradually of measurement from 7 years to 9 years in males and females. 4. In
handball throwing , it is showed a tendency to decrease gradually of measurement from to 16 years in females. The
body height and weight were increasing each year. Accordingly, the physique is developmental tendency , but it is
seems that physical fitness is decreasing each year. Especially, the growth of the muscle of trunk is decreasing.

This paper reports on what beliefs Oyama Kosen students hold regarding English learning. Their beliefs
were elicited via a discursive approach by investigating metaphors they used in a questionnaire. Metaphors are
supported to reflect students' beliefs about their experiences of learning English. By classifying and examining their
metaphors, what students think about learning English can be revealed. The paper also describes implementations of English ExpressionⅠ, which were designed based on the findings of the students' beliefs.

Self-propulsion of a liquid droplet on a hot aluminum surface with ratchet geometry was investigated
experimentally. The top of the heated metal surface is brought to a level. A water droplet in Leidenfrost film
boiling dispensed on the ratchet surface starts moving perpendicular to the ratchet features at speeds of as high
as 0.2m/s . To analyze the displacement and velocity of the drople for water, ethanol and acetone, a series of
observations were made using a high-speed camera. The effects of surface temperature and diameter of droplet
to a terminal velocity of droplet were investigated. We propose a physical model of propulsion and the
calculated results of terminal velocity are compared to the experimental results.

In many machine parts and electronic parts, junction of dissimilar material which utilized the
properties is carried out. But, the concentration of stress is generated in the bonded interface. This causes
the deterioration of strength, and reliability is lost. There is a stress analysis for three-dimensional bonded
structures by finite element analysis based on eigenvalue problem as an example of a computational
mechanics approach method of this problem. But when analyzing by this method, unstable distribution is
appeared in the boundary part. In this study, to improve the calculation accuracy, try to increase the degree
of element used for the analysis. And the improvement of accuracy was confirmed by some analytical

In this study we researched the effect of the listening to music on heart rate R-R intervals variability after the
stress loading. Eleven healthy people aged from 19 to 22 participated in the experiment as subjects. Heart rate R-R
intervals were measured in each of the three cases when (1) subjects had no stress loading, (2)they were listening to
the music after the stress loading, and (3)they were not listening to the music after the stress loading of all the
subjects. Furthermore, the subjects were asked to respond to questionnaire about how much they felt relaxed when
they were and were not listening to the music after the stress loading. The analysis of the results shows that the L/H
of heart rate R-R intervals variability in the case of listening to the music after the stress loading is smaller than that
in the case of not listening to the music after the stress loading. Moreover, questionnaire results also show that the
degree of relaxing in the case of listening to the music after the stress loading is higher than that in the case of not
listening to the music after the stress loading. These results suggest music has stress reduction effect.

However, the electromagnetic radiation has a problem on the information leakage and the service space might be
limited. Then, our research team has studied digital information transmission system using modulated ultrasonic
waves and electric field hybridly, which are generated by one piezoelectric ceramic oscillator. The system can
prevent leakage of information, because the electric field is very small amplitude and the ultrasonic wave has a large
attenuation at high frequency in air. This study deals with each problem on the electric field and the ultrasonic wave
communication, and performed to realize the hybrid communication using both energies.

Enzymes utilizable for teaching devices may be divided into "Commercial enzymes", "Extracted enzymes",
and "Added enzymes" . Activity of Added enzymes in detergents was determined to lead new themes of extension
lectures. A dish detergent and automatic dish detergents mixed with starch gave a positive response (brown precipitate
formation) for Benedict reagent, respectively. However, a laundry detergent gave a negative response for the same
reagent. A synthesized specific substrate of α-amylase was also used for activity-determination to give yellow color
and visible light absorption at 400 nm in case of a dish detergent and two automatic dish detergents. Improvement of the
reaction conditions and substrate selection will make these reactions be useful to visualize the works of the added
enzymes in extension lectures.

Some mosses with highly drought tolerance are suitable for building greening and actually some of them have been
applied as greening plants. In this study, two species of mosses,
Hypnum plumaeforme and
Rhacomitrium canescens,
were investigated on their adaptability to an original medium for greening on walls. The results showed that binders
in the original medium gave an adverse effect on growth of both of the mosses, while plant polysaccharides (agar
and sodium alginate) had no obstructive effects on their growth. These plant polysaccharides could be useful as
substitutional binders of the present one due to their viscosity.

depict history by referring to modern history. Why did he keep writing history in his last days while he had observed the modern civilization process in
Japan? In order to answer this question, it is necessary to examine relationship between modern history and historical novels written by Ogai. Recently,
attempts were made to understand Ogai′s history depiction comprehensively. However, little literature has demonstrated the direct influence that modern
history had on Ogai. The objective of this paper is to captured the atmosphere that created his novels by articulating his view on modern history.
