This paper discusses the following three points regarding the form of educational politics that can support the autonomy of education.
The first point is the problem regarding the board of education, which lacks “fair public opinion.” The board of education system was changed in 2014, narrowing the on-site discretion of educational institutions. Under these circumstances, each school had to face the corona crisis.
The second point is the importance of learning to monitor public authority. Even during the corona crisis, it is important not only to save lives but also to realize learning, especially learning to monitor public authority. For that purpose, it is necessary to create a mechanism that can make autonomous decisions at each
educational site.
The third point is that the ideal form of democracy that can support the autonomy of education should be an issue in educational politics that needs to be clarified.
