Recent researches have shown the possibility of accelerating traditional database with FPGAs by implementing specific query processors. In this paper, we present a method to improve hardware design productivity. First, we employ the C-based HLS to reduce the processor design cost. Second, we combine the proposed processor with a novel FPGA framework, which provides pre-developed PCIe module to reduce the system design cost. At last, we integrate the proposed data filtering processor with MySQL database as a case study to show the development efficiency and system performance.
