We propose a method to generate dynamic projection mapping for a large number of elliptical leaves by automatically tracking the projection areas and the image registrations of projection areas. Recently, projection mapping targets have included a wide variety of objects, ranging from buildings to fish. However, it is difficult to project images onto a large number of dynamic and deformable targets such as plants composed of many leaves. Our system automatically specifies and tracks dynamic and deformable plants as target projection areas for registration to them. We also propose a system user interface for designing the direction and order of effect animations onto many leaves at once using user input.

In addition to the usual eye makeup methods, fancy eye makeup called eye makeup art incorporates motifs like anime characters. However, three problems arise when applying fancy eye makeup art by oneself: the result varies depending on one’s skill; the colors can be used are limited by the cosmetics that one owns; and individual differences exist in the skill of devising a design from a motif. We proposed and implemented a system called “iMake” for creating eye makeup art designs from motif images to solve these problems. This system extracts colors and features from motif images selected by the user and reflects them in eye makeup art designs. Furthermore, the eye makeup art design created on iMake can be directly applied to the face by printing on a temporary tattoo sticker. In this paper, we evaluated the design elements of eye makeup art created by the proposed method by conducting a survey to thirty-five people. In addition, we invited eight participants to perform eye makeup art using both iMake and conventional makeup methods, and evaluated and discussed whether the problems in applying eye makeup art have been solved through the use of iMake.
