    Since the FRP high-pressure pipe developed by Dr. Yoshinori Nishino has a pressure resistance of 100 MPa and a heat resistance of 250 ° C, which greatly exceeds the API Standards, aiming to establish the GPI international standard for FRP pipes, GPI Standards Committee was established on March 2, 2013. After that, the GPI Pipe Standards was revised in 2020. The contents of the 2020 revised GPI Pipe Standards are published here as a special issue of the GPI Journal. The GPI Standards will be extended also to flanges, cylinder (pipe) tanks, and others.
