Since the range of application of flanges made of FRP material is required to be shared with flanges made of existing steel material, ASA 150 to 2500 of international standard and pipe diameter of 25 to 3800 mm are used. FRP flanges consist of two types, one consisting of short fiber reinforced material (hereinafter referred to as CS) and the other consisting of continuous fibers (hereinafter referred to as Roving). For flanges made of CS, compression molding and centrifugal molding method are applied. Filament winding (FW molding method) is applied for the flange consisting of Roving. This report describes research results on the design standard of ASA 150 to 2500 applied flange using CS material

The label for traceability used for GPI standard pipes for oil wells is capable of disseminating pipes conforming to acid resistance (pH2 or less) and high temperature and high pressure (maximum 250 °C, 100 MPa). Application certification and cumulative management of load use conditions, used to guarantee the durability performance of the product including main pipe and joints (coupling, flange, etc.). The traceability system is a communication function with internet electronic information, created for users' needs that can be used and managed within the durability range in addition to the QC information which is the GPI standard application product.

Theoretical limit pressure of FRP high pressure fittings is analyzed. Application pressure of international standard API is said to be 20 MPa or less, and those which are practically used for small diameter pipe are less than 10 MPa. Meanwhile, due to the drilling of deeper underground resources and the diffusion of corrosion-resistant high-pressure containers leading to hydrogen gas, the demand for joints with design pressure exceeding 100 MPa is expected, and the process piping used at offshore oil refining base also has working pressure 13 MPa, a pipe fitting reaching the diameter of about 500 mm is also necessary. This research reports the results of research on the theoretically designable maximum pressure of FRP fittings. It was theoretically proved that the joints up to 100 MPa disclosed by the GPI technical standard can be designed and manufactured

GPI standards are based on functional design that can set coupling 150%, pin cap adhesive strength 80%, pipe seal strength up to 20 to 30% by tightening torque of internal pressure breaker, assuming pipe strength 100%. The GPI standard pin cap has a function to satisfy the GPI quality assurance system which brings the adhesive strength of the pipe and the coupling and the breaker thread face seal function. Here, the design theory on the pin cap is described

Methane gas (natural gas) is buried in large quantities that are said to be inexhaustible in Japan. It is less used due to difficulties in mining and transportation, and was widely used as propane gas (LPG) with low liquefaction pressure processed from imported crude oil. However, with the advance of transportation technology, imports of liquefied natural gas are increasing, domestic production is expected to spread rapidly as a fuel for transport machines replacing gasoline and diesel, which is representative of petroleum-based fuels due to dissemination of liquefied tank lorries. This research report has a serious disadvantage at a limit pressure of 20 MPa in a conventional metallic gas tank. The newly developed FRP tank is a high pressure, light weight, low cost automobile use spreading tank of 40 MPa

In recent years, the slope horizontal drilling method for non-open underground piping construction has become widespread, and realization of demands for the removal of utility pole is proceeding. However, these development technologies require construction area and development of smart excavation technology that can avoid multiple underground piping such as intersections and obstacles is required. In this newly developed drilling method, all the drilling facilities are accommodated in manhole pits. It is an underground piping construction system that enables precise horizontal control by liquefaction excavation without discharging earth and sand between manhole pits.

The movement to introduce FRP, especially CFRP in automobiles, is accelerating in automobile related companies, with the aim of improving fuel economy and reducing the price of raw materials by reducing the weight of automobiles. In this study, we have succeeded to reduce the proportion of commonly used powder binder from the existing glass mat weight ratio of 11% to 6.2% in the preparation of a mat sample exhibiting a tensile strength of 4.5 kg by the new mat dry production method. At the same time, we succeeded in preparing the 80 th mat with less than 4% of the new mat binder (NBL - 113) developed by our company, using a bundle of 100 glass fiber bundles (white arrow). By applying this technology to automotive body FRP molding, energy saving and price reduction of automobiles can be expected.
