    In nuclear power plants, it is needed to keep the water quality extremely clean from the viewpoints of the reduction of the radiation exposure and maintenance of the reliability of plant materials. In order to meet these requirements, new ion exchange resins using at condensate demineralizers have been developed.
    It is understood that the reduction of the suspended corrosion products, which is called crud, comes to an effective countermeasure for minimization of radiation source and so, new ion exchange resin for crud removal is developed. This new cation resin with 6% crosslinkage has a larger surface area than that of conventional cation resins with 8% crosslinkage and this new resin shows the extraordinarily better crud removal performance than the conventional resin.
    Main impurity in primary coolant is sulfate that originate the leachables from the cation resin used at condensate demineralizers. The less leachable cation resin that has 14% crosslinkage and uniform particle size distributions has been developed. In this paper, these technologies are presented.
