The fluctuation of daily use of natural park provides the important planning factor for the management of natural scenic area; e. g. congestion at the site, damages of the natural resources, amount of garbage to be treated and needs of parking lots. To clarify the effect of the weather condition and the day of the week, the fluctuation of number of skiers and the use of parking lots were analyzed at Yumoto ski site in Nikko National Park. They were examined by the Multiple Regression Equation with the factors of year, months, day of the week and weather conditions; e.g. snow depth, temperature, humidity, rainfall, sunshine, etc. observed at the Oku-Nikko Field Monitoring Station of National Institute for Environmental Studies. Four important results obtained were following.
1. The depth of snow significantly correlated to the increase of skiers and the use of parking lots. The results suggests that the depth of snow allowed skiing and moreover induced the visitors.
2. The highest temperature of the day correlated to the increase of use of parking lots. The higher humidity correlated to the decrease of the skiers and the use of parking lots. This suggests that the effect of weather condition was approved on the fluctuation of use by the statistical test.
3. Holidays and Saturday increases the skiers and the use of parking. And the larger increase was observed in the use of parking lots. This suggests that the holiday made the dominant use of parking lots at this ski site.
4. January and February increases the skiers and the use of parking. and the larger increase was observed in the number of skiers. This suggests that the skiers in the term of seasonal peak have visited here by the public transportation.
