In this study, we investigate into the contents of web pages for school support in Japanese public libraries. Taking account of the present investigation, the general trends of the contents of the web pages are presented. Furthermore, the significance of the web pages for school support and the appropriate web pages are considered. Also, the contents model of web pages for school support, which is composed of five kinds of contents, is proposed. That is to say, these five kinds of contents are as follows, ① school support services, ② resource sharing, ③ library programs, ④ information resources on teaching support and the study of teaching materials for school teachers and staffs of school,⑤ information resources on learning support, reading support, and the support to improve information literacy for students.
