Holomitrium falcatum Bartr., described from Guatemala and collected also in Mexico is synonymous with Orthodicranum flagellare together with Holomitrium flexuosum sensu Bartram (1946).

  Two species of Riccardia, viz. R. villosa and R. sikkimensis have been described from eastern Himalayas. This paper gives the first detailed and illustrated account of the above species since their original publication.
