Two Asiatic species of Fissidens are described and illustrated. A neotype has been selected for F. longisetus Griff. from the Himalaya. F. allanii Gang. is reduced to a synonym of this species, and F. limbinervis Brugg.-Nann. et Iwats. from the Philippines and South Sulawesi is newly described.
