The purpose of this study is to investigate the physical fitness of new students of National
Institute of Technology Toyota College. The subjects were more than one thousand new students
from the 2010 to 2019 academic year.
The physical fitness at new students was observed to be dependent on the year they entered
the college. From a comparison with the national averages of the same ages, the abilities of
muscle strength, sprinting, jumping and throwing showed to be inferior in the present
subjects. On the other hand, the abilities of muscular endurance, flexibility, agility and
general endurance showed to be superior in the present subjects.
