    This study is to make a seismic design database of mid-story isolated buildings based on performance evaluation sheet of 60 buildings. From information provided by this database, following tendencies are confirmed; 1) The mean value of the 1st natural period is about 0.5 seconds longer than that of base isolation buildings. 2) The maximum deformation of the isolation story is about 6cm larger and maximum responses of the upper-structure are larger. 3) The tendency of the mass damper effect and modal coupling effect are confirmed as compared responses of the design cases and the response prediction method.

    Energy absorption capacity is an indispensable property for earthquake resistant structures. To equip the top story with abundant energy absorption capacity and to make energy inputs done by earthquakes concentrate on the top story result in an promising design option which has not been hither to fully investigated. In this paper, the mechanism through which the energy input moves to the top story is clarified and the design criteria for this type of structures are demonstrated to be expressed in terms of Ds-values. This type of structures can be also applied to strengthen the existing structures which are judged to be insufficient in energy absorption capacity. By adding the damage concentrating story at the top of existing structure, the seismic performance of the structure can be highly improved without disturbing its living function.

    「普通の量子化学計算」を短時間で効率的に実行できるようになったことにより,量子化学計算のハイスループット化を指向したシミュレーション技術と,その解析のためのインフォマティクスの活用に注目が集まっている.本稿では,金属ナノクラスター触媒を具体的なターゲットとして,GRRM(global reaction route mapping)のような探索型のハイスループット量子化学計算で得た計算結果のデータベースに対し,インフォマティクスを利用して解析・予測を行った例を紹介する.

    同一牛舎内で飼育されていた6頭の黒毛和種の子牛が数日間のうちに斜頸, 運動失調, 虚脱などの神経症状を呈し, 急性経過で死亡した.そのうちの1頭が本教室に搬入された.肉眼的に大脳浮腫, 迅速病理検査により大脳皮質層状壊死が認められ, 急性鉛中毒症が疑われた.本結果から死亡牛3頭の血液中鉛分析を実施したところ, 正常牛よりも高濃度の鉛が検出された.鉛の摂取源として可能性の高いトタンを取り除くことにより, 本症の発生はなくなった.

    黒毛和種肥育牛1,095頭の枝肉の第6-7肋骨間切開面における筋間脂肪の脂肪酸組成について,携帯型の近赤外分光分析装置による方法(NIR法)とガスクロマトグラフ法(GC法)による測定を行った.遺伝的パラメータを推定したところ,NIR法とGC法での表型相関は高く(0.76~0.81),遺伝相関も高かった(0.92~0.97).遺伝率推定値は,GC法(0.64~0.71)の方が,NIR法(0.39~0.45)より高く,育種改良の選抜形質としては,GC測定値の方が正確度は高かった.調査牛の父にあたる種雄牛121頭の脂肪酸の推定育種価はGC法とNIR法で高い正の相関を示した.

     In June 2016, measure to Nankai trough long period ground motions was announced by MLIT. However, the structural calculation using the response spectrum method indicated by the Ministry of Construction notification Vol. 2009 is out of measure because it is difficult to inspect influence of long period ground motions. Also, we proposed a vertical distribution of seismic design load for seismically isolated buildings (SIBs) using the equivalent isolation ratio which has applicability to various dampers.

     In this paper, we analyze the influence of various structural parameters of SIBs on shear force coefficient distribution. In addition, we investigate whether the effect of adding the fluid damper on the shear force coefficient distribution to suppress the response displacement to the long-period ground motions can be expressed by using Ieq. Furthermore, we verify the applicability of the proposed formula for long-period ground motions amplified by the superficial grounds in the actual ground models and propose a new variation correction coefficient CV. The acquired conclusions are as follows;

     1) Based on the analysis results on the long-period ground motions at engineering base layer, it is found that the influence of the setting of the seismic isolation period on the relationship between Ieq. and the equivalent amplification factor of top floor βeq is large. When the seismic isolation period is long, the moving average value of βeq in SZ3 and CH3 obtained from the analysis result tend to exceed the Eq.(13). (Fig. 9).

     2) When adding fluid dampers to hysteresis dampers whose burden shear force coefficient αs is 0.01, Eq.(13) cannot capture the change in βeq. However, if the burden shear force coefficient αs is 0.02 or more, Eq.(13) can capture the change in βeq. (Fig. 10).

     3) The moving average of βeq for long-period ground motions amplified by the superficial grounds in the actual ground models varies depending on the characteristics of the surface ground and the difference in the seismic motion. However, since the moving average of βeq calculated collectively from the analytical results of the nine long-period ground motions in all the grounds of Site 1, Site2, and Site3 corresponds well to Eq.(13), it can be said to be able to grasp the response shear force coefficient for nine long-period ground motions on average. (Fig. 13).

     4) The variation coefficient CV of βeq is determined by Eq.(17) for long-period ground motions amplified by the superficial grounds in the actual ground models. And as shown in Fig. 15, the applicability of amplification factor of vertical distribution of shear force coefficient for seismically isolated buildings to long-period ground motions is confirmed. (Fig. 15).

     In June 2016, MLIT (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) has announced a countermeasure against the Nankai trough long period ground motions (LPGMs). MLIT also announced the region divided by input level of LPGMs in the Kanto (KA1), Chukyo (CH1–3), Shizuoka (SZ1–3), and Osaka (OS1–3) areas. However, the response spectrum method, indicated by the Ministry of Construction notification Vol. 2009, is out of the countermeasure, because this method was considered to be difficult to reflect the influence by LPGMs. Also, we proposed a vertical distribution of design shear force coefficient for seismically isolated buildings (SIBs) using the equivalent isolation ratio which has applicability to various dampers.

     In this paper, we analyze the influence of LPGMs on shear force coefficient distribution of SIBs based on knowledge that response amplification is excited by higher modes. And based on the analytical results, we propose a new equivalent amplification factor and variation correction coefficient. The acquired conclusions are as follows;

     1) The equivalent amplification factor of the shear force coefficient changed depending on the region divided by input level of LPGMs. In addition, it was confirmed that the number of cases where the equivalent amplification factor falls within the range of evaluation of Eq. (10) varies depending on the region divided by input level.

     2) Based on the analysis results of nonlinear modal analysis, as region divided by input level of LPGMs decreases, the 1st mode response decreases, and the influence of the higher mode increases relatively.

     3) By quantifying the relationship between the equivalent isolation ratio and the equivalent amplification factor, and the variation of the equivalent amplification factor for each region, it was possible to appropriately evaluate the tendency that the equivalent amplification factor differs depending on the region divided by input level of LPGMs.

     As previously reported, we have proposed a vertical distribution of seismic design load for seismically isolated buildings (SIBs) corresponding to diversity of seismic isolation devices such as hysteretic dampers and fluid dampers. This proposed seismic design load is obtained from the relationship between response amplification caused by higher-mode responses and Isolation ratio which represents structural characteristics of SIBs.
     In this paper, we build a concept of Equivalent Isolation ratio Ieq which has applicability to various dampers in order to simplify an evaluation formula of vertical distribution of seismic design load. Moreover, an effect of the combination application of various dampers on vertical distribution of shear force coefficient of SIBs is analyzed on the basis of Equivalent Isolation ratio Ieq.

    This paper describes the dynamic printing conditions to create fine dot matrix image at the view points of dot area connecting closely with printing quality. The analysis and examinations on impact printing model have introduced following results.
    (1) Impact dot printing can be explained by the kinetic model with the printing mediums introducing the relation of stress (σ) to strain (ε), σ=keαs, so that the maximum printing forces, coefficient of restitution and the time of contact between hammer and mediums can be simply predicted by the value of α.
    (2) The value of a varies with dot area so that dot area becoming smaller under condition of the same hammer kinetic energy, the maximum printing force and the coefficient of restitution become smaller and the contact time becomes longer.

    SCARA robot motions generally consist of the following two motions : One is horizontally transportation of a load by actuating two revolute joints. The other is vertically transportation of a load by actuating a prismatic joint. This paper deals with an adaptive control for the former motion with vibration suppression of the prismatic joint. The controlled object is modeled as a doble-input quadruple-output system. Firstly, we show a non-linear control method that guarantees a load to be transported to the neighborhood of its desired position. The mass of the load is estimated by the recursive least squares algorithm during the transportation. Then, the dynamics of the robot is linearized at the neighborhood of the desired position of the load. By using the linearized dynamics and the estimated mass, a pole placement controller for the robot is designed. We derive a sufficient condition for robust stability with respect to the estimation error of the mass. Under the condition, a pole placement method for robust performance is also presented. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

    This paper describes the results of an investigation on the printing mechanism design conditions for the line printer high speed performance. The results obtained are as follows: (1) The lowest permitted print density limits, estimated from the print quality viewpoint, are about 1.0 and about 0.6 in original and five-ply copy, respectively. The optimum stroke width value is 0.3-0.4 mm. (2) To obtain the lowest permitted print density limits, the peak printing force value above 10kg is required, or the hammer kinetic energy above 7 mJ is required. (3) To prevent the print quality deterioration occurring in high speed printing, it is necessary to reduce hammer contact time and, consequently, to reduce hammer mass. Based on the above results, the titanium alloys, which are advantageous in respect to density and strength, were adopted as the hammer material. A light weight 0.22 g mass and 16 μs contact time hammer was realized. As a result, a high speed line printer with 1500 lines per minute for 128 characters has been developed.

    分割統治(DC) 法は,局所正準分子軌道(LCMO) を用いるフラグメント分割型のオーダーN [O(N)] 電子状態計算法の一つである.バッファ領域を導入することにより,LCMO を構築する局在化領域に重なりを持たせて計算するのが特徴で,これにより非局在化した電子状態も比較的高い精度で計算することが可能である.本稿では,筆者らが開発を進めてきたDC 法に基づくHartree-Fock および2 次Møller-Plesset 摂動エネルギーとその勾配の計算法を概観し,これらを利用した分子動力学シミュレーションについても述べる.

    中性脂肪(TG)の分子種分画が,牛肉の脂肪融点と食味に及ぼす影響を明らかにするために,黒毛和種牛肉および腹腔内脂肪からTG分子種分画を調製し,その化学的性質と食感を調べた.TGから,飽和脂肪酸(SFA)3分子からなる分子種分画(SSS),飽和脂肪酸とモノ不飽和脂肪酸(MUSFA)が2 : 1の分画(SSM),および1 : 2の分画(SMM),ならびにMUSFA3分子からなる分画(MMM)が得られた.SSSは白色粉末として得られ,融点は57.3~61.2℃であり,口の中で溶解せず,不快なザラザラした食感を呈した.SSMは室温では白色固形で,融点は27.0~27.7℃であり,口の中ですぐに溶解した.SMM分画は,室温では液体であり,融点は8.2~12.7℃であった.MMMは4℃では液体であり,融点は-12.2~-10.0℃であり,食感は水様で脂肪の後味が残らなかった.抽出した筋肉内脂肪にSSSおよびMMMを添加したところ,融点は1%当りSSSで2.73℃上昇し,MMMで0.71℃低下した.

    In determining design conditions for an impact printer, it is necessary to study the ink transfer mechanism in impact printing and to clarify the relationship of print quality parameters, such as printed character stroke width and print density, to design conditions for printing mechanisms. This paper describes an analytical and experimental study of the liquid ink transfer mechanism using an inked ribbon in impact printing. The results obtained are as follows: (I) The liquid ink transfer mechanism can be well explained by the viscous flow model which assumes the structure of paper to be an arrangement of cylindrical capillaries and the ink to be a Newtonian fluid. (2) The quantity of ink transferred is proportional to the square root of the peak printing pressure and contact time, proportional to the mean capillary radius of paper, and inversely proportional to the square root of ink viscosity.

    鹿児島県内の食肉処理場に出荷された黒毛和種5,440頭の枝肉切開面における筋間脂肪中の脂肪酸組成を近赤外分光法で測定した.オレイン酸及び一価不飽和脂肪酸(MUFA)割合に関して,単形質アニマルモデルREML法により遺伝的パラメータを推定し,BLUP法によって育種価の推定を行った.また,2形質アニマルモデルREML法の結果から脂肪酸割合と各枝肉形質との遺伝相関及び表型相関を算出した. オレイン酸割合, MUFA割合の遺伝率はそれぞれ0.47±0.08,0.48±0.08 であった.また,種雄牛育種価はオレイン酸割合については-4.89~4.30%,MUFA割合については-5.09~4.33%であり,種雄牛の遺伝的な能力に大きな差が認められた.オレイン酸割合またはMUFA割合と各枝肉形質との間では表型相関は総じて低かった.一方,両者とBMS No., 肉の光沢,シマリ及びキメとの間では弱い負の遺伝相関があり,BFS No. との間では,弱い正の相関があった.これらのことから,脂肪酸組成の改良は遺伝的に十分可能であると考えられる.

    The Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake in 2011 caused destructive damages by not only itself but also tsunami in the coastal area. In this report, we propose evaluation techniques of structural safety of seismically isolated buildings (SIBs) against tsunami load by focusing on a characteristic of an effect of shear force on SIBs. In addition, we analyze story shear force and shear deformation angle on superstructure and structural behavior of laminated rubber bearings when tsunami load or seismic load is working on SIBs for the purpose of exhibiting applicability of the evaluation criteria.
