筆者らは次世代航空機の耐雷技術開発の一環として、ファスナと呼ばれる金属製ボルトが取り付けられているCFRP（炭素繊維強化プラスチック）供試体を対象に、雷撃試験におけるファスナ周辺でのスパーク現象を光学測定技術により検出、評価している。本論文では、に基づく発火性混合ガス中でのファスナ付CFRP試料のスパーク特性を調べ、スパーク発生と爆発の関係や各発生確立を明らかにした。

筆者らはこれまで、CFRP(炭素繊維強化プラスチック)を用いた次世代航空機の耐雷技術開発の一環として、CFRP供試体を対象に、雷撃試験におけるファスナ周辺でのスパーク現象を光学測定技術により検出、評価している。航空機の雷撃試験で使用される雷インパルス電流は、SAE ARP 5412Bに定められており、Component A(First Return Stroke)の他に、Component B、C、Dなどの波形がある。本研究では、Component A波形を出力する電流源を導入し、学内でに準拠した試験を実施できるようにすると共に、負荷や配線などの回路パラメータが出力電流波形に及ぼす影響を検討した。

On revising Japanese Industrial Standard of spring lock washer, the auther was in charge of drawing up a revision plan as a member of spring lock washer sub-committee. Many weak and irrational points were found in the present standard by calculating fibre stress and load for solid compression, and these have been revised in the new standard.
Attention has been given to have the size of sections of washer conform as much as possible to the SAE standard to reduce the number of calibers at factories where washers of SAE-and JIS-size are to be produced.

航空機用雷撃試験は

として定義されている。その中で、機体への直撃雷を模擬したインパルス電流波形はComponet A波形として定義されており、試験目的に応じてこのように波形形状は個別に定義されている。研究室にはComponet A波形を20kAピークまで出力できる電源がある。本論文では、この出力電流の下限値や再現性などの基礎出力特性を纏めるとともに、航空機被雷時の電子回路の安全性を検証するPin Injection Testに使用されるWaveform5aという立ち上がり時間40μs、ピーク電流値300Aの波形を実現するための回路構成を検討し、実験によりその波形が出力できることを確認した。

The Corner-cube prism types of reflex reflectors that are used as the rear reflex devices of vehicles and the road markers are analyzed in terms of the following angles of the prisms.
One of them is an angle between normals of reflecting surfaces and the central axis of a reflex reflector, and the other is an angle between normals of reflecting surfaces of each prism.
A method of measurements of the above angles was devised and these angles of our products were measured to be compared with their reflecting characteristics.
As the result the reflectors which were composed of prisms with the above latter angle little deviated from the ideal one have sharp distributions of reflected light.

High tin and aluminum alloy bearings can seize easily when used with nodular cast iron shafts. The process of seizure is studied and it is found that the burrs left around the graphite on the surface of the nodular cast iron shafts abrade the aluminum alloy and that embeded debris causes further transfer of the aluminum alloy, which leads to eventual seizure. In an attempt to remove the burrs and transferred aluminum alloy during operation, hard particles of Si are dispersed in the alloy bearings. This arrangement provides much higher seizure resistance than the conventional aluminum alloy bearings in sliding against nodular cast iron shafts.

筆者らはSF₆ガス中部分放電現象や絶縁破壊メカニズムを光学的観点から測定し検討している。現在はその計測技術を応用して航空機の雷撃試験にも適用している。光計測機器は電磁ノイズ対策として光ファイバーとシールドボックスを使用して発光強度波形を観測している。しかし、ファイバー材料毎の測定強度特性の相違を理解しておく必要がある。そこで本論文では、石英、ガラス、プラスチック製の3種類の光ファイバーを用いて大気中における部分放電の発光計測を行い、ファイバー材料の相違による発光強度特性の相違を明らかにした。

In order to investigate the validity of the current JIS fatigue design diagrams for round wire helical compression springs, fatigue tests were conducted for non-shot-peened and shot-peened springs made of piano wires and valve-spring quality oil-tempered Chromium Silicon steel wires. All the spring wires supplied for the testing were commercial ones and were processed in commercial spring manufacturing lines to coil springs. Fatigue tests were conducted at room temperature until fracture or 10⁷ cycles, under various constant stress ratios from 0.1 to 0.7. Also, load loss of each non-fractured spring at fatigue test was measured. Using each load loss thus obtained, residual shear strain γ (Shear stress relaxation divided by shear modulus) was calculated. It was found that the fatigue strengths obtained were all above the current JIS fatigue design diagrams and that the current JIS maximum design stresses were lower than those determined by the criterion that residual shear strain γ <= 0.05 % is met. Comparison of current JIS standard with the corresponding SAE and EN standards were also made.

In order to develop a new high-performance wheel with high fatigue strength and light weight, a rigorous quantitative method for evaluating the induced stress of the wheel is necessary. In this study, a stress evaluation technique with three-dimensional finite element method is developed for an automotive steel road wheel during radial load fatigue test. The method of the determination of the load distribution loaded on the rim is proposed, by referring the stress measure with strain gage on the rim. According to the present method, the calculated results with a half model simulates well the actual stress distribution. The variation of the stress amplitude during a rotation of the wheel is obtained from the calculation, and the characteristic stress variation of the wheel, for example the three stress cycles at the rim per rotation, becomes clear. Also, the effect of the basic design parameters such as disc hat radius and rim thickness on the stress amplitude numerically.
