Some people are able to use bus transportation, if some low floor buses are provided. However, other people need a Door-to-Door transportation service. Therefore local governments should provide several social mobility support systems (such as free bus pass, taxi tickets, and special transport service (STS) etc.) for the people who feel difficulties to travel. In this study, it is examined whether the kind of disability, the grade of disability, and age would be choice factors of the systems for disabled people. As a result, the non-recipients of systems do not have significant differences by the kinds of disability, grades of disability and age as compared with recipients. And there are differences in choice by impairment of lower limb and impairment of internal organs, but there are almost not differences by grades of disability and age.

It is very important for local governments, which include not only depopulated area but also suburban area with increasing aging people, to enhance the mobility for elderly and disabled people by improving public transportation service. Under this condition, a lot of local governments have introduced "Community Bus Service". However, this has brought much fiscal burden on the governments. Therefore, we can say strongly that community bus system should be sustainable, reflecting traffic demand properly in each area. In order to make sustainable community bus system, this study aims to investigate the process of reviewing bus system after the introduction of community bus. Under this purpose, the following issues were examined; to clarify the characteristics of operating condition of community bus in local governments in Japan by national-wide survey, to investing the criteria of reviewing bus system and the way of introducing the criteria, and to apply these methods to "Taco Bus" in Akashi city in Hyogo prefecture.

This paper presents the results of experiments which were made to investigate a distance sensation of persons with visual impairment especially of totally blind. The distance sensation of the blind will be an important factor to form the information to be given during their walk. At present many kinds of assistive systems for the blind are used and having more sophisticated functions. In near future it will be possible to realize a system which could give adaptive information for characteristics of individual blind persons. From these view points the correlations of the distance sensation in a walking between opposite attributes of blind persons were investigated in this research. In the experiments 27 subjects participated and they walked straightly with target distance of 5, 10 and 20 meters which were given prior to start walking and then the subject will stops when he or she judged by own as completion of the target distance. The results of analysis of this experiments, the groups of blind persons who are walking individually in their daily life and have experience of training for walking indicated better results on the walking characteristics in distance correctness and stability comparing with opposite attributes such as usually walk with escort and no experience of training of walking skills.
