In this paper, we introduce the results of educational program "Training Project of Planning Designer for Town Renovation 'Project of Barrier-free town planning'". The features of this educational program are "Project Based Learning" and "Mixed Education." In order to carry out "Project Based Learning", the subject matter is a fundamental plan suggestion from the residents of a barrier-free new law, and the students draw up the barrier-free fundamental plan proposal document. In order to carry out "Mixed Education", we invited various people as external advisers. The main educational targets of this educational program are shown below. (1) Developing skills in core areas of design, communication and the building of partnerships. (2) Improving the ability to integrate design technology for sustainable town renovation. (3) Understanding the existence of various viewpoints from different stakeholders, and understanding how to motivate others to participate in actual town planning. We verified the results of this lesson and checked that this lesson has attained these three targets.
