In an attempt to make an evaluation scale for a health education program concerning Diabetes Mellitus, a non-directive interview with a public health nurse was conducted for the purpose of determining specific appraisal perspectives in the measurement of educational effects on individual participants and to apply predetermined perspectives as an established appraisal scale for practical use. the sample subject was a public health nurse with an average of 30 years of owrk experience. Non-directive 2-hour interviews were conducted and the responses were recorded, arranged and categorized. As a result, it was found that in evaluating the benefits of the education program for the prevention of Diabetes Mellitus, the importance of appraisal perspectives in their relation to three behavior patterns shold be noted. An attempt was also made to establish a time-order scale based on the finding that these behaviors were likely to be observed in a time sequence order. Discussions were held on the possibility of applying specific appraisal perspectives to be used as practical appraisal indices.

Mo-99 / Tc-99m generator is a generator used for nuclear medicine imaging. The alumina column is used for this generator, and the daughter nuclide is dissolved in the physiological saline. It is frequently used as a radiopharmaceutical since the elution RI is the carrier free. The understanding of the generator system is important for the students of radiation technologist. A standard experiment of the generator makes them understand the relationship between its operation and structure, and radioactive equilibrium. Then, we added the experiment which used hydrogen chloride solution [HCl 1mol / l] and sodium hydroxide solution [NaOH 1mol / l] for the eluate. It was confirmed that the parent nuclide, which should not be separated from the column, was dissolved by this experiment, and it was possible to effectively understand the difference in standard use and non-standard use.

The purpose of this study was to examine the factorial invariance of the life satisfaction index A (LSIA) Japanese version. Two hundred seventy-one subjects aged 51 to 96, filled out all questionnaries by themselves, were applied in this study. The fitness level of model was examined by the analysis of covariance structure. As a result second-order factorial model, structured by three-factor (Mood tone, zest of life, Congruence) and eleven variables, was most suitable for our data and cross-validation of the life satisfaction index A was supported.

The purpose of the study was to examine six process models on the Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI), aimed to propose proper causal relationships in three-aspect conceptualization of burnout. A cross-sectional research design was used to draw explicit conclusions regarding causality of burnout phenomenon. The data were gahterd from all caring staffs of nursing homes for the aged in Okayama prefecture. Of 1, 445 respondents, a sample of 1, 006 females who satisfied all the items of demographic variables and MBI took part in the study. The six process models were tested by convariance structure analisis. All of the models met the fit criteria, but several standardized parameter estimates were inconsistent with the relationships defined by the previous studies. The path between Deparsonalization (DP) and personal Accomplishment (PA) was not statistically significant in two models, and the path between Emotional Exhaustion (EE) and PA was positive inconsistently in the expected direction in three models, PA and EE also incocsistently positive in one model. Consequently, the Leiter's model which EE predicts DP, PA is indipendent of the others, was tentatively supported. The results, as well as our previously published findings about the factorial models of MBI, contributed for better understanding of bunout phenomenon, and indicated that further study has to be carried out to clarify the functions of burnout.

The purpose of this study was to examine the factorial invariance of self-efficacy scale of health promotion activities and Levenson's locus of control scale Japanese version. And the relationship between health self-efficacy and locus of control was investigated too. Two hundred thirty-seven subjects aged 51 to 96, filled out all questionnaires by themselves, were applied in this study. The fitness level of model was examined by the analysis of covariance structure. As a result, on health self-efficacy scale, second-order factorial model structured by four-factor (Health behavior, Mood tone, exercise, Dietary habits)was most suitable for our data. On Levenson's LOC scale, second-order factorial model structured by two-factor (Internal, Powerful others) and seven variables was most suitable. These results supported that the cross-validation of the health self-efficacy scale and Levenson's LOC scale. About the relationship of these scales, significant correlation was observed between latent variable "internal" and "health self-efficacy", and the former theory was confirmed.
