To solve physics problems, it is important for learners to find not only acting forces but also relationships between these forces. However, in usual problem solving, because learners are not required to represent relations between forces, diagnosis and correction for mistakes in the relations are difficult. For this difficulty, “Externalization” is a promising approach. Based on these considerations, we have proposed a method to externalize forces and relationships between forces that learners find in order to solve physics problem. In this paper, we describe an external expression to realize this externalization, and introduce a support system developed to realize this externalization. We also report an experimental use of this system as a preliminary one.
