In this paper, a new support system for learning inorganic chemistry is proposed; incorporating the use of head mounted displays and augmented reality. The head mounted display incorporates a smartphone and a virtual reality (VR) viewer. Sensors in the smartphone measure of the movement of the learner’s head. The virtual environment presented for learners through the head mounted display is created using the picture recorded by the smartphone camera and computer-generated items (virtual items). With markers and head movements, the learner can control the virtual environment.
