The potential usefulness of Aerial Color Infrared Film for the identification of vegetation and other resources survey has been tested in the simulation model by means of filter set change for optimum color difference. Adjustment of filter set in the computer program, along with the ability to adjust the spectral sensitivity, dye density, H&D curve of film, transmittance of filter, reflectance of objects, distribution of illumination source, resulted in greater chromatic difference than could be achieved using filter sets used before.
Both of the computed result and the chromatic measurement of films taken in the field was approximated.
Chromticity diagrams indicate the better filter set, Kodak Wratten No.12 with color compesating filters and light balancing filters.
