Color ortho-photo map with scale of 1: 5, 000 or 1: 2, 500 is produced by mosaic of several pieces of color ortho-photographs. While black and white mosaics of aerial photographs involve less distinctive seams at around their boundaries, color mosaics of color aerial photographs or color ortho-photographs involve discontinuities of color tones.
The objectives of this study are to remove the discontinuous seams of color mosaics by means of digital techniques for digital image processing of digitized color ortho-photographs, and to establish the methodology to produce good looking mosaics of color ortho-photo map with use of digital image output equipment.
As the results of this study, digital mosaics of color ortho-photographs with the continuously varied tones, that is, seamless mosaics can be produced by the methodology which has been developed by the authors.

The study deals with the deigital techniques for analytical rectification for color oblique areial photograph which is taken by non-metric camera. Exterior orientation parameters of three dimensional coordinates (Xo, Yo, Zo) and the attitude (ω, ψ, κ) of camera as well as interior orientation parameters of shifts of principal point (xp, yp) and focal length f should be determined in the case of nonmetric camera.
From the results obtained in this study, the accuracy of residuals for control points with respect to the determination of exterior orientation parameters was enough for the purpose of application to coastal environment, even subject to the assumption that the nominal focal length is accurate and the center of the frame coincides with the principal point. In addition, it was seen that the accuracy of photographyic coordinates determined by interior orientation parameters did not influence on the total accuracy as compared with the accuracy of geographic coordinates of control points.
