A special ZnS pLosphor plate is excited by a ultra-violet lamp. When the image of the hot body is projected on this plate by a photographic lens, a fairly clear black image of the body is: seen. The plate is quickly placed in contact with a panchromatic plate for a few minutes, and the latter is then developed and fixed as usual, a permanent picture of the hot body is obtained.
