Long period activity of
65Zn was obtained from deuteron bombardment of brass. Radiations from it were investigated by cloud chamber and also by countersanal we obtained the following results.
65Zn decays by K-electron capture as well as by positron emission to
65Cu, the probability of the former being about 80 times larger than the latter. The maximum energy of positrons was 0.47mev. Intense gammarays whose energies are 1.0, 0, 655 and 0.45 mev respectively, accompany to the K-electron capture. Primary electrons of continuous spectrum as well as internal conversion electrons were not found. By the coincidence measurements of counters, positron-gamma, K-X-ray-gamma and gamma-gamma coincidences were observed, and tentative level scheme is discussed
