JOURNAL FREE ACCESSThe environmental noise at an arterial roadside (Route 1) has been measured in Nagoya City since 1974. In this measurement, the values of LAeq, L5, L50 and L95 were continuously obtained for every one hour. In this paper, the long-term trend of LAeq was investigated using the data of LAeq measured for twelve years from 1984 to 1995.
The results are summarized as follows. (1) LAeq at a roadside has been changed in accordance with the road traffic volume. (2) The long-term trend is easy to find in LAeq, 1h than in LAeq, 24h. (3) LAeq in nighttime and in morning were on the upward trend during the twelve years. The long-term trend of daily pattern of noise level in weekday was different from that in holiday.
