Case study on the quality improvement practices for the software development in the customer-site environment is presented. It is the effective practices that we seek the best-balance of the assignment among engineers and we make a best effort of review and test. Re-assignment of engineers and customer-oriented development standards are still remains the problems.
Japanese style of organizing projects is gathering the project members from the functional sections in the organization, and the project members will go back to the original functional organization. This procedure needs to keep members in the functional section even when there are no projects. While Western style of organizing projects is gathering the project members from out side, and the members will be free when the project over. This procedure has less fixed cost on the companies and will not effected by the outer economical factors. We made comparison the Japanese style of organizing projects and the Western style of organizing projects.
Projects of data analysis which is the core technology of DOA(Data Oriented Approach)education were planned and carried out in the previous studies so that students who had no practical experience in any information system development might understand the essence of DOA. This paper proposes an Information Resource Management Maturity Model(IRMMM)after raising some tasks based on the current situation of DOA educational projects in the Chiba Institute of Technology.
