There are some safety assessment, some of them are inherent safety and probabilistic safety assessment. But, it has not clearly defined of them. This paper reports the difference of both safeties and the way of realizing optimization of Life Cycle Cost of Safety Related System. And it proposes the concept of Safety Cost and reports it on the Railway transmission systems.About the railway systems, the cost loss is fewer than the more safety transportation facilities in signaling systems. So it is important to identify the concepts of the inherent safety and the Safety Cost must need to validate it by the Risk Assessment.

The functional safety focuses on the hardware, software, and human which construct the safety-related control system, and specifies the requirements corresponding to the severity of the damage foreseen when the safety-related control system becomes malfunction. In order to achieve the functional safety, practical use of the basic researches accumulated in the past in fields, such as dependability, reliability, electricity, machinery, software, and management of an organization, is essential. This paper describes the relation of the technology of dependability and risk management fields across boundaries in functional safety.

This document describes an argument and its basis of which Lcc (Life cycle costing) method shall be a discipline as a current engineering technology under modern industry application. And historical progress of this method is briefly introduced for understanding of this study and also discussed the several issues on implementing this method into the current industrial practices. Additionally, objective systematic approach is proposed as optimized conditions and its environment for Lcc application with anticipated expectation of significant benefits for all industries and also social services and national services.

The purpose of this paper is to propose an idea of the next-generation cost information system. With the arrival of the cloud computing age, the corporate management is now facing changes. In such situation, it is assumed that we have a large-scale virtual database and must choose the relating data for effective decision making. For that, we suggest a conceptual model of OOCM based on PSLX (Figs. 4 and 5). OOCM based on PSLX, as a next-generation cost information system, enables data curation, collection and aggregation related to costs and we can use cost information flexibly through repetitive dialogue.

Japan Society for Management Information (JASMIN) was established when the Japan Society forManagement Informatics (JASMIN) and Association forManagement Information (AMI) were merged in 1992, with a scope of researches into utilization technology of information technology (IT). The article describes its brief history, as well as the positioning and the status of the Society vis-`a-vis other academic societies in the related fields, the society in general and the international community in the field, in particular Association for Information Systems (AIS) and International Conferences on Information Systems (ICIS).
