In this paper, The flapping mechanism of insect wing has been analyzed by visualized image of the flapping motion of small insects. The flapping motion mechanism of the wing was investigated by taking photographs of the flapping of the wing of insects, which are Aulacophora nigripennis, Harmonia axyridis and Coccinella septempunctata, by using the high-speed video camera. The items analyzing the wing motion are the locus, flapping angle, the flapping velocity and the flapping period. The conclusions as shown in the following were obtained from above items. 1) The upper wing motion synchronizes with the wing motion. 2) In case of flight, the posture of these insects resembles extremely well. From these consequences, the flapping motion mechanism, which suited the body size of small insects, was made clear.
