This study investigated that effects of each material, which are Mechanoluminescence (ML) powder or binder resin, constituting ML sensor, appeared on ML intensity when different stress was applied. Behaviors showed in ML intensity of ML sensor by applied stress were able to be characterized in the 3 stress resigns, non emission region, liner emission region and nonlinear emission region. The material effects in ML sensor on emission intensity were evaluated by the formula (1) containing 3 parameters, G, σ1 and σ2, with variable stress. It was showed that the formula (1) enable to describe ML intensity when stress rate is whether constant condition or not. The results of ML intensity under constant stress rate showed that the determinant factor for both G and σ1 is ML powder, on the other hand that for σ2 is the combination of ML powder and binder resin. Under the strain is constant condition, the ML intensity showed the proportional relation to elasticity of the ML sensor which depends on the elasticity of binder resin. Time dependence of ML intensity and strain were simultaneously measured under the condition of stress rate was not constant using concrete sample with cracks. It was found that the emission intensity velocity is proportional to the square of the stress velocity in a process in which ML intensity is continuously increasing.
