Business automation had been promoted mainly in the manufacturing industry. In Japan, it is predicted that the labor force will decline in the future, automation of white-collar work, in particular automation of work utilizing artificial intelligence(AI), has attracted attention, and some companies have been trying it. In this paper, I show a case example of business automation project utilizing AI in the past recruitment service industry, it shows that the application of P2M theory is effective as a method to deal with the problem occurred in this project. Furthermore, I confirm the effectiveness of P2M even in other business automation utilizing AI not limited to the recruitment service business.

In this article, the external expert who cooperates with a secretariat organization (DMO: destination management and marketing organization) for promoting projects of vitalizing regional economies in each region is defined as the following three types: vitalizing regional “producer”, “director”, and “contents marketer”. The purpose of this article is to describe following two issues. The first issue is to apply “3S model” in P2M Program to the curriculum design and their main roles and business tasks for three types of experts. The second issue is to create educational methods of the specific “vitalizing regional director”, who is responsible for the roles and business tasks for designing various experience-tourisms. In this article, three types of the roles and business tasks are explained as follows: investigating tourist behaviors and interests of visiting Japan foreigners, discovering the charm of regional resources and tourism resources, and analyzing customer characteristics of target tourists.

IoT has become an international standard. Japanese manufacturing industries should expand their efforts to keep up with this world trend. Not only should Japanese workers in different industries have the knowledge about hard-software but they should also have data analysis and problem solving know-how’s. The Human Innovation Consulting, Inc. at Aoyama Gakuin University has been keen in developing the human resource development program, while the firm also tries to foster various producers to help achieve these qualities enumerated above. The program utilizes the concept of Project & Program Management termed (P2M). Against these backgrounds, this research hopes to discuss the achievements of the program as well as the Smart Factory Project’s curriculum. The result of P2M application and its future prospect will similarly be put on the agenda.

As human resources are sought more sophisticated and diverse in society, not only professional skills and knowledge but also general skills are required. In recent years, the introduction of PBL is thriving as a general skills development method such as critical thinking ability, team work and leadership for prob-lem solving ability. However, in such a PBL project aimed at solving social problems (Wicked problems), there are cases in which students cannot solve the problem. This research examined the effect of managing PBL using Instructional Design (ID) method with an educational organization applying P2M.

Our country is facing the unprecedented combined social phenomenon of falling birthrates, an aging population, and longer lifespans. In order to persevere through this situation, we will need to take a fresh viewpoint on social innovation. No longer can we see innovation only as a product of competition over “things.” We will have to also see innovation as something that results from collaboration and co-creation, formed by the value and relationships surrounding “concepts.” In this research, we approach the P2M value creation process from the angle of “Gaze”. In doing so, we formulate theories on new trends in the management of technology (social constructionism) using the 3S model (the scheme model, the system model, and the service model). We then get a grasp on the fundamental difference between technological determinism and theories that emphasize dynamic interaction between technology and society, and use social representation theory to demonstrate the possibilities of social innovation. Additionally, we conducted a survey of roughly 180 foreign exchange students on the topic of “what foreign exchange students are fixated on.” Based on these empirical findings, we then validate the feasibility of the possible scenarios. Last, we apply the P2M body of knowledge to regional vitalization activities conducted through industry-government-academia collaboration, and organize and analyze what we find to discuss the effectiveness of P2M program management

Numerous plant construction projects have been executed so far all over the world. Each project normally manages risks of the project for its success. However, overlooking the risks of various projects will enable project management that reflects the tendency of risks. This paper aims to indicate the tendency of risks that may happen during project execution and the problems that are relevant to such risks by analyzing the risk registers of several projects in relation to the characteristics of projects. After classifying risks by cluster analysis, we visualize how the risks are associated with the characteristics of projects by using mathematical quantification theory class III, and then analyze how sensitivity to the risks affects the success of projects.

As for the project finance, the credit object by the financial institution becomes the project not a company. This project borrows a fund and accomplishes a project with several stakeholders. In this study, the authors review project finance study in P2M and arrange business finance and project finance from the viewpoint of risk management. The authors clarify the relations of the risk between the several stakeholders in the project and show risk management framework using an example of the PFI (Private Finance Initiative) which is one form of the project finance.

There are a lot of discussions of product innovation management. These discussions are based on how to manage the process of product development. It is, however, difficult to provide the value to customers appropriately in the situation foreshortening product life cycle and diversifying customer value. Therefore, it is necessary that manufacturing industry promotes customers to acquire value. In this paper, “Users Innovation” is defined to promote manufacturing industry and related issues and premise concept for user innovation are discussed.

In developed countries until around 2000, Sequential development style of “Basic technology development → Application development → Commercialization” has been accepted. But many industry technology has been spreading abroad. Compared to emerging economies that promote “Horizontal distributed type”, the price competitiveness of developed countries weakened. The development style in developed country newly pursues the original function and ease of use assuming a usage scene. After designing to realize this, aggregates technologies and devices necessary for realizing products and services. After 2010, it has gradually spread that “The assumption of what you want to be → the functional design definition of concrete products → the style of integrated technology integration necessary for realization” In this paper, by recalling what kind of innovation will happen with taking the wave of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, I have newly proposed the classification of (1) Process Innovation, (2) Product Innovation, and (3) Social Innovation and presented them in several cases as three innovation layers. In order to promote and realize the three proposed innovations, I am convinced that development of P2M research and theory plays an important role.

This paper propose collective intelligence aggregation method using aggregated data collected by social buttons and weighted average as one method of extracting opinions useful for decision making from infor-mation on the platform. This proposal is based on the premise of communicating about program planning, achievement, and evaluation on the Web platform, collecting opinions from participants and complying with the conditions under which collective intelligence is expressed, and expressing approval to opinions and using weighted average in order to realize the evaluation. By using this method, good quality opinions can be extracted with a process that has a high sense of satisfaction. And Both improvement of accuracy of de-cision making and improvement of belonging awareness of participation are expected. A questionnaire sur-vey was also conducted from 16 students who frequently use the Web platform in order to ascertain the adequacy of opinions and approval collection methods in the proposal and reported these result together.

In the manufacturing industry, there is a difficulty of raising a new product into big industry with profits, and it is known as the Darwinian sea. To solve the difficulty, it is needed to construct a continuous survival life cycle to put new products to grasp the demand of the customer appropriately and reflect the demand in technology development and product specifications. In this study, a way of process of the Japanese management Quality Award (JQA) was taken to the new 3S model to resolve the difficulty. In particular, it was proposed a new organizational structure and 3S model to return to the scheme model for strategy formulation of complicated technology and product development system based on customer's request. It was applied in Ricoh company’s new product and inspected the effectiveness of the new method of innovation to overcome the obstacle of new business continuation expansion difficulty.

With the spread of Project Based Learning at universities for the aim of developing active student, the necessity of online communication is increasing. However, students tend not to be active on online environment. In this research, we consider a place of online communication as a platform, which should manage as information interaction and psychological interaction, from the viewpoint of relationships with self-regulation and a model of Triadic Reciprocality. In addition, we discuss about the strategy of the Secret Role Channel, which is the concealed channel for each role of the group, through the two projects and show the effectiveness for self-regulation.
