    It is stated who is the most appropriate inventor or patent owner of inventions interacted by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Based on the opinion of the government, the process of inventions and which entity (human or AI) plays the role in each process are analyzed. The result of this study shows that assuming AI do not have intention itself, inventions interacted by AI would be recognized as ones human use the AI as “tools”, and the human could obtain the inventorship followed by the current patent law. And it concludes that patent ownership rights could vest in the entity which do “advance learning” to AI, give the AI demands of human and play reduction to practice (discover the conception of the inventions).

    Digitized electrical products have many functions, and these user interface specifications have become large scale. Therefore, in short development period, it is a problem that time for usability evaluation is insufficient. In this paper, we propose a user interface design method that can evaluate consistency in device operation, by simple processes. Features of the proposed method are to use similarity of functions or interactions, as software metrics. The similarities are calculated from the design information, and are analyzed by using an agglomerative hierarchical clustering (AHC). As a result of the AHC, functions or interactions are classified into several groups, and their consistencies are able to be judged. This is an automatic evaluation method that does not require manpower. Thus, unlike conventional usability evaluation, efficiency of the design work can be expected. As a result of evaluating user interfaces for digital camera by using the method, this technique was able to identify the points to be corrected of the interactions.

    The enterprise's interest to the legal protection of IoT Data that will bring a profitable value is higher. On the other hand the current Intellectual Property Laws are designed to protect invented products and works the Author creates and are not designed to protect “data” without conditions. The contract based on Civil Code makes it possible to limit the licensee's use of “data”. However the best drafting to license “data” is not clear so far. This paper analyzes the coverage of the protection by the current Intellectual Property Laws and its bound. An idea of law to protect “data” as “information assets” based on the analysis is given.

    Systems of the internet of things (IoT) consist of various elements, such as devices, networks, or embedded systems, and become larger scale and more complex. When we find faults in these systems after designing or implementation, it costs a lot to roll back the process of developments. It is therefore important to modelize systems' requirement, constraints and behaviors, and check the model to estimate their correctness and their performance. In this paper, we propose a framework to analyze SysML block diagrams with some constraints. The diagrams originally are used to describe specifications, and cannot be used to perform automated searches of systems' architectures. We check them with formal method to estimate costs and performances before implementing systems.

    Dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) is one of the most effective power reduction techniques for a digital VLSI circuit. A fully integrated DC-DC converter is indispensable to achieve DVS. There is a trade-off between the output voltage ripple of a fully integrated DC-DC converter and its chip area. This paper proposes a design methodology which minimize the total chip area of a fully integrated multi-phase converter with an acceptable voltage ripple. The proposed design methodology reveals an equation of the optimum inductance and capacitance. Validity of the proposed design methodology is confirmed by Hspice simulations. The simulation results of a design example show that the output voltage ripple of a multi-phase converter with the optimum inductance and capacitance derived by the proposed design methodology is kept within a requirement value.

    Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system in accordance with Qi standards and NFC-RFID system is being loaded to the smart phone in recent years. However, the transmission efficiency of WPT system and communication distance of NFC system is greatly deteriorated due to nearby metal objects. To solve this problem, magnetic sheet with high permeability is inserted between these antenna and metal objects. In order to make thickness of these materials thinner, adopting the amorphous magnetic sheet is considered. However, also the amorphous sheet has large magnetic loss, and it cuts both ways. Accordingly, the effective loading method that can strike balance between the high permeability property use and magnetic loss suppression for the amorphous sheet is reported in this paper.

    This paper presents a continuous-time H2 preview control based on partial information, and its application to load frequency control (LFC). It is expected that preview supply and demand information improves load frequency control performances. In common power system, however, we have difficulties in measuring all the internal states which compose the overall generator. To solve this difficulty, a design method of H2 preview control system is proposed in an output feedback setting. The design method enables to treat the preview uncertainties by introducing an independent disturbance channel into the corresponding generalized plant. It is shown that the frequency variation in the power system is effectively attenuated by reflecting the bandwidth of load variation.

    A nonlinear forced vibration control method for a flexible plate with piezoelectric actuators is proposed in this paper. A model of a flexible plate taking into account the hysteresis of the piezoelectric actuator is given. In addition, the design of nonlinear control system is given by using the operator theory. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed nonliner control system is confirmed by simulation and experimental results.

    We present a statistical analysis of French household electricity demand data. By distributing HEMS sets to 200 French volunteer families, we collected data of measuring units of household electricity demand from April of 2014 to March of 2015. Focusing four features, electrical energy consumption, maximum power, difference between maximum power and 99 percentile point of power, and load factor, we analyzed relations between these features and attributes collected from the 114 French volunteer families who responded to questionnaires. Our analysis shows that the amounts of electrical energy consumption of the valid respondents who used electrical heating appliances in their living rooms were 700 kWh more than those of the valid respondents who used non-electrical heating appliances in their living rooms in winter. From our analysis result, we consider that the families who used electrical heating appliances in their living rooms consumed large amounts of electricity over a long time. In order to reduce high electricity demand in winter in France, HEMS (Home Energy Management System) may be necessary for advanced heating control.
