These days, many companies want to adopt the TW (telework) option for their business. Some people say that TW is necessary in order to be ready for BCP (Business Continuity Plan), which allows company business to continues even when some disaster occurs and employees cannot commute to the office. However, in my opinion, "TW for BCP" is not the same as "TW for WLB (Work Life Balance)" in lots of ways. In this paper, the significance of TW for BCP is considered, and whether or not the TW designed for WLB can be applied to BCP for small businesses. First, I describe how the readiness of BCP, in small and medium-sized companies, is low, although it is very necessary. Next, I explain that among the companies using TW for WLB, the readiness for BCP is not enough, and various environments (hardware and software) prevent applying TW for BCP. Finally, I suggest that it needs to provide more information to management and industry for it to succeed in businesses.
