The method of F-2F recording which is usually applied to magnetic cards etc. is easily rewritable. Recently, several kinds of counterplan for security are performed, but these are not intrinsic. Accordingly, the security of F-2F recording is not high. Now, the complex of two magnetic materials is used for magnetic recording layer. Those materials have different coercivities. Two levels of recording current make three states of residual magnetic flux. This method is named 2F recording. The features and merits of 2F recording method will be explained.
