The intellectual property rights in industries related to the field of life science, particularly pharmaceutical and biotech industries, while recognized as extremely valuable assets, also present potential management and commercialization minefields. In this paper, the author discusses some novel and successful challenges for strategies and tactics of IPRs in this field, especially focusing on the fusion of IP strategies into corporate operations, the introduction of a profit-cost concept into industrial IP activities, and the construction of global IP system in the near future.
