An exploration of the origins of Clarivate Analytics' Cortellis products reveals that the process of gathering information content related to drug development and creating an integrated platform intersects the flow of database development and game change due to business acquisition. Scientists include Ian Tarr, who developed the investigational drug database, and Vitek Tracz, the entrepreneur who supports it. This article describes entrepreneurs in the early days of the development of the investigational drug database, as well as the content expansion that has been planned to promote the ecosystem of drug development.
Institutes for Assistance of Academic Libraries (IAAL) was established in 2007 as an NPO under the certification of Tokyo Metropolitan Government and started the IAAL Certification Test in 2009. The IAAL Certification Test is designed not only to certify the proficiency but also to enhance the self-learning for professional librarians, and covers two domains, Cataloging and Information Services, with five sections in total. This paper describes the details of the IAAL Certification Test and also the NACSIS-CAT service, subsumed in Cataloging. It furthermore mentions how the CAT2020, the project downsizing and efficiency plan for operating NACSIS-CAT, may affect the CiNii Books service.
