Useful metals are separated and concentrated in molten metal generated from municipal solid waste gasification melting furnaces and ash melting furnaces. In this research, focusing on the metal resource potential of molten metal, we analyzed the metal concentration of molten metal etc. from the gasification melting furnaces and ash melting furnaces in Japan and analyzed the relationship with furnace type, melting condition, etc. As a result, the metal concentration in the molten metal was about the same as the concentration in the existing research, and Au, Pt and Pd were 10 times or more as compared with the metal grade of the ore. The concentration of the precious metal in the molten metal was different between furnace types, which depends on the transfer ratio of main elements such as Si, Ca, Al to molten metal. The amount of precious metals in the total amount of the generated material was variable, which is considered to be a difference in the amount of metal per amount of input materials into the facility, but it was not related to the implementation status of small home appliances recycling. The TMR of the molten metal was different depending on the furnace type, but in terms of the total amount of metal resources, the molten metal has almost the same metal recovery potential regardless of the furnace type.

In order to understand the actual odor generation in urban river and to study effective countermeasures, it is necessary to grasp the odor generation in a timely manner, and to link the generation factors with the generation frequency. In this survey, we conducted continuous observation of odor in urban river using a system capable of continuous observation.

From the observation results, the period when the odor index exceeded the odor index 10 was short, and the frequency of exceeding varied depending on the time. In addition, as a result of sorting out the odor generation factors and the frequency for each factor, it was found that in the investigated river, the odor generated by rolling up and exposure of the sludge when the water level was low was dominant and the occurrence period of phenomenon was short. The results of this survey were obtained by long-term continuous observation of the odor intensity which changes from moment to moment, and it showed that the continuous observation was effective for grasping the actual state of odor generation.
