In this study, we focus on the business potential of local production for local consumption of agricultural products, conduct a survey and analysis of the conditions for local farmers and restaurants to work with business potential and propose a distribution model for local production for local consumption. The survey results found that it is vital to differentiate agricultural products, which are not available in general markets, in terms of scarcity, price, and quality in menus that are effortlessly appealing to consumers, such as daily menus in restaurants. Through mock transactions through the proposed distribution model, it was shown that face-to-face transactions at intermediate points after completing settlement in advance are important for efficiency and securing trust. In addition, we analyzed the requirements and proposed a web-based EC system for local production for local consumption, targeting small-quantity, multi-product farmers, and individually owned restaurants.

In this paper, we summarized previous research on telework in recent years, empirically verified the claims, constructed and analyzed a theoretical model. In the empirically verified part, prefectures with a high ratio of establishments with 5 to 99 employees have a higher ratio of telework. In the construction and analysis of the theoretical model part, we built an ordinary microeconomics model. It shows that “the elasticity of capital used to improve the labor efficiency of telework to changes in labor efficiency due to telework” and “the ratio of capital cost to labor cost for telework” are equal.

Convenience store employees responded to a survey form in response to questions about their own personality traits and stress environment, and the data they responded to were statistically verified for lack of bias, and based on the verified data, the information about convenience store employees' personality traits and stress environment was analyzed using the Short Big Five theory and Multiple comparison tests were used to analyze the data. Factors contributing to the stress they were under were classified according to personality traits, and characteristics were extracted. Based on the classification results, we focused on the smiling during customer service, a potentially stressful task, as a response to prevent stress, and confirmed whether smiling during customer service affects personality traits and is a superficial or deep performance in the theory of emotional labor required as a convenience store employee's ability.

We propose to create a portal site for university students to acquire qualifications. And we propose services and functions for the portal site. Our research question is: What functions are required of a portal site to collect information on educational materials and educational services for university students to acquire qualifications? The hypotheses are tested through questionnaires and experiments. Due to the small number of respondents, it cannot be said that the hypothesis is fully tested, but positive responses are obtained.

Our research question is; What can we do to encourage university students who do not go to see plays and musicals to see them, even under the COVID-19 Pandemic? As a result of our verification, we found that; (1) Information should be disseminated through social media to lower hurdles to going to theater and to solve lack of information, (2) Under the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is important to utilize cinema screenings (Live Viewing) and online distribution as a way of first exposing to university students theater. We have found these steps to be useful.

In this paper, clouds were extracted from all-sky images. The states of the clouds, such as the direction from the sun and the thickness, were classified. And we clarified that this information is effective for highly accurate solar radiation prediction. It has used that LightGBM to make predictions based on the amount of solar radiation, the estimated amount of solar radiation in fine weather, and the positional information such as the distance and direction from the sun of clouds extracted from all-sky images, and the effectiveness of the information was confirmed. Overall, it was shown that cloud information considering the estimated value of solar radiation in clear weather and the distance and direction from the sun is effective.

Traffic lights, stairs and steps are a significant barrier restricting activities for the visually impaired. Training a guide dog requires a certain amount of time and a specialized trainer. Regarding the domestic situation, the spread of guide dogs is still insufficient. Therefore, this study conducts fundamental research to develop walking navigation system for the visually impaired by applying image analysis and machine learning recognition technology. Our previous research demonstrated that our recognition system is useful in detecting pedestrian traffic signals, although we still need to adjust some elements before practical use. In this study, we examined some technologies for recognizing stairs and steps for the visually impaired by organizing existing technologies. This paper aims to provide guidelines for designing low-cost walking navigation for the visually impaired by combining existing small computers premised on widespread use and existing IoT and machine learning technologies. We figure out what technologies and components we should combine to achieve the system. Also, we propose a design guideline for developing a navigation system.

The Kamen Rider series, one of Japan's leading special effects hero programs for children, began broadcasting in 1971. In the same year, Bandai released Henshin Belt, a toy with a gimmick similar to that of television, which became a blockbuster selling 3.8 million units. Henshin Belts have become a long-selling toy series in conjunction with TV programs. As the birth rate in Japan is declining, expected sales would decrease naturally, yet Kamen Rider-related sales are strong. Why? We will look at Kamen Rider's toy business, especially the marketing strategy for Henshin Belts, with specific examples from various perspectives.

Major online bookstores publish a ranking of book sales every hour, and site visitors use the ranking as a reference for purchasing books. Therefore, authors and publishers are closely following the evolution of sales rankings. On the other hand, it is also possible to grasp the characteristics of the sales of the book and the characteristics of merchandising from the transition of the sales ranking. Therefore, focusing on logistics-related books, this study will clarify and analyze the mathematical model of sales ranking with classification, based on the transition data of sales ranking. The paper will also analyze the correlation of products with different specialties in logistics-related books from the perspective of sales ranking in order to explain the merchandising characteristics of these books. This research targeting more fields and authors is considered to be an issue for the future.

Accuracy under partly cloudy conditions has been an issue in most previous studies of solar irradiance estimation and prediction. Under the conditions, sun occlusion events (SunOE) occur frequently. During SunOEs, not only solar irradiance was attenuated, but also cloud enhancement events occurred. In this experiment, 29% of SunOEs was enhanced. In 92% of enhancement cases, lens flares were observed in the camera images. Sky feature information was extracted in each image from six areas assumed to affect to solar irradiance. Using MLP, effective factors were found, the lens flare, the area of high-luminosity and thin cloud component.

This study examines the impact of employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and the number of reporters on newspaper content, particularly on the method of information gathering and the number of news sources they use. Results showed that newspapers with higher ESOP shareholdings were less dependent on information from news wire services and other newspapers. No relationship was found between ESOP and the number of government-related news sources used per article. The ESOP led to an improvement in the quality of the news. With regard to the number of reporters in a newspaper company, the more reporters a newspaper had, the greater the number of times reporters visited the scene of the incident. It was also revealed that newspaper with more management resources had more news sources per article than those with fewer resources.
