Cuba has had an economic blockade imposed on them by USA for over forty years and is now managing to escape from the economic chaos due to the collapse of the USSR. To deal successfully with their economic crisis, the government is encouraging a tourism industry instead of the traditional monoculture of the sugar industry. To be concrete, they are aiming to obtain foreign money by creating infrastructures related to tourism with foreign capital inducements and therefore, attracting more foreign tourists.
