Both the new Chubu International Airport and the International Exposition will open in Aichi Prefecture in 2005. For the purpose of analyzing the economic effects within Chubu area of both Japanere and foreign travelers who visits to the Aichi International Exposition, we first predicted the number of both Japanese and foreign travelers who utilize the new airport in 2005. Then we also calculated the economic effects within Chubu area of their consumption using the input-output analysis technique.

Cuba has had an economic blockade imposed on them by USA for over forty years and is now managing to escape from the economic chaos due to the collapse of the USSR. To deal successfully with their economic crisis, the government is encouraging a tourism industry instead of the traditional monoculture of the sugar industry. To be concrete, they are aiming to obtain foreign money by creating infrastructures related to tourism with foreign capital inducements and therefore, attracting more foreign tourists. Behind the preferential treatment of tourism, there is a split in equality for Cuban Society, for example, the income disparity between Dollar income earners and Peso income earners, and the disharmony with other industries. As a result of deregulation (or lifting) of the economic blockade and the embargo, Cuba will certainly expect to increase the number of tourists. Although Cuba proclaimed itself a country based on tourism, they have some problems that need solving.. Their need to be guarantees in both quantity and quality for people working in the Service Industry. We recognize the originality of the Cuban People, which mixes with rich and natural resources and the ethnic culture, will make the people visiting feel curious and enriched.

There are two components of Gastronomic pleasure: one derived from quality and quantity and the other derived from the know and the unknown. It’s history goes back to the origins of human beings but it was in France, in the 19th century, that it became a divertissement enjoyed by common people. Tourism can be defined as the act of enjoyment of an extra-ordinary time in an extra-ordinary place. It’s history also goes back to the origins of human beings but it was in England, also in the 19th century, that it became to be enjoyed by common people. Gastronomy, as enjoyed by common people, connected with Tourism through the medium of writers and guidebooks and progressed through the 20th century with short interruptions during the two wars. Tourism is expected to contribute to Gastronomy by bringing together extra-ordinary and previously unknown experiences.

Today, 122 hot spring resorts have been developed and used in Korea. By attracting spa tourists to hot spring resorts, local government are trying to get tax revenues and regional promotion. The purpose of this study it to evaluate Korean hot sporing resorts by basic materials as geographical position, the effect of development, the character of investors and operators. This study suggests privately initiated hot spring resorts have to developed as a recreation resort. And local government has to be concerned with sustainable hot spring resort operations and regional environment maintenance.
