Heat accounting of plants can not be easily calculated because the specific enthalpy (KJ / kg) of a fluids including hydrocarbon can not be obtained easily. By using the specific enthalpy EXCEL functions of various fluids including hydrocarbon, the heat balance calculation of various processes and equipments can be easily realized. In this paper, we show examples of heat accounting of heating furnace. We can calculate newly the received heat quantity on the process fluid side and calculate the heat of dissipation from the heating furnace, compared with conventional loss method from the combustion side. In addition, it shows a more accurate calculation in the efficiency calculation method.

When miscible flood processes was calculated by compositional simulator, it is often predicted that grid block oil saturations is zero. On the other hand, zero oil saturation is rarely observed in laboratory experiments. To evaluate applying CO
2 injection residual oil saturation under miscible condition (S
orm) is one of important parameters. CO
2 core flood was conducted by injected 15 PV of CO
2 to estimate the range of S
orm in core scale. Based on experimental result, residual oil distribution was calculated according to Huang’s assumption.

Wealthy society over the generation is realized by using the value created from the energy resource present on the earth. For that purpose, it is important to develop methane hydrate expected as a domestic resource, and shale gas as a main resource of future natural gas supply, and various activities ranging from basic research to technology deployment are under way. In this presentation, as a seed to create new value for resource development, the two studies on development of gas recovery method from methane hydrate using CO
2 and shale resource assessment using digital oil technology (molecular-scale design technology) are introduced.

Analysis of coumarin for discrimination of kerosene and diesel oil in gasoline was considered by using GC-MS with high efficiency ion source. The sample was prepared by mixing kerosene and regular gasoline or high-octane gasoline. 0.01 mg/L coumarin in gasoline was easily detected using this method without interference of gasoline matrix.
