We have already published several times in different occasions temporary lists of reef corals living in the Japanese seas and around the south sea islands as well as of those from the latest geological formations of Japan-raised reefs of Honsyu, Sikoku, Kyusyu, the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan, and the Ryukyu limestone of the last two regions., Mean while our materials are rapidly growing in number and kinds from various sources, including some new finds; moreover, it now becomes evident that some of the early identifications require correction, and there are also many cases in which change of specific and genric names are needed on nomenclatural technique., To avoid confusion of readers, it is intended at this place to issue revised lists of these corals., Early lists of our fossil and living corals appeared in several papers mentioned below, each abbreviated for later reference.,
