In this study, we aimed to develop teaching materials and a new “food”-related education opportunity entitled "Umi-iku" in order to promote marine education. More specifically, “Umi-iku cards” were devised. In cooperation with Koyo Elementary School of Anamizu Town in Ishikawa prefecture, third graders wrote about their impressions and made illustrations based on a field trip to an oyster farm in their hometown. These were used by us to create postcards (“Umi-iku cards”). The cards were distributed to visitors at the annual winter jumbo oyster festival of Anamizu Town and a questionnaire survey was carried out. In addition, in order to examine learning outcomes, a survey based on a self-evaluation questionnaire was conducted before and after the activities with the participating third graders at Koyo Elementary School.

     The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between dissatisfaction with body parts and abnormal eating behavior (e. g., diet behavior, features similar to the clinical manifestations of eating disorder). First, the body mass index of the subject was calculated. Most of the subjects were slim and normal body. It was indicated that 50.00% of the subjects (slim body) had a desire to be slim. And 89.47% of the subjects (normal body) had a desire to be slim. Secondly, as a result of the examination, it was indicated that dissatisfaction with the hands and arms and dissatisfaction with the thighs and legs is related to diet behavior. In addition, as a result of the examination, it was indicated that dissatisfaction with the hands and arms and dissatisfaction with the buttocks are related to overeating and fear of obesity. From the above results, dissatisfaction with the hands and arms and dissatisfaction with the buttocks may be factors associated with the characteristics of bulimia nervosa.

   When rhizobia accept flavonoids secreted by host legumes, they synthesize and secrete Nod factors. A nodule formation signal transduction model has been proposed in which the host plant responds to this Nod factor and is linked to phenomena such as ion influx, calcium spiking, root hair deformation, and infection thread formation. In this study, we analyzed the expression of SymRK, which is considered to be a related gene due to rhizobial infection during the initial infection process in nodule formation. As a result, the expression peak of SymRK was observed 5 minutes after infection. This fast reaction time is due to the fact that in the initial response of the Nod factor, intracellular alkalization reacts with the Nod factor and occurs in several tens of seconds, and then the activation of the cytokinin synthesis gene occurs in about 1 minute after infection. Activity of SymRK is thought to be induced after these processes.

　The purpose of the present study is to understand the conditions and challenges faced while conducting recreational activities for elderly residents at nursing homes and determine the level of satisfaction in this regard based on previous studies. By doing so, we aim to discuss recreation that would improve quality of life for elderly residents. The survey result indicates that since the level of satisfaction is high for recreational programs offered outside of nursing homes, demand for community resources is assumed . When organizing recreational programs, nursing staff need to learn about recreation and understand its significance. Challengingly, there is a tendency for recreation itself to become the objective, leading to a dearth of time and staff to organize the recreational programs. In the future, we need to analyze the degree of satisfaction among participants of recreational programs and discuss types of recreation that would improve quality of life for them.
