The survey concerning telework was carried out to local manufacturing companies and their data were analyzed with company data of TSR database. The result showed almost 70 percent of the companies did not admit the telework. For the reason, a lot of non-teleworking companies answered that there is no appropriate work for telework. This result is similar to existing investigations. In teleworking companies, the establishment years were older and the number of employee and amount of sales and profits were larger than those in non-teleworking companies. In addition, the introduction of the information system was also advanced in teleworking companies. The progress of the introduction of telework is expected in a local middle-scale firm in the future.

An Ultra- or Meta-Realistic Telework Communication System is one which allows people outside the main office to experience exactly the same emotional environment as those physically present. This system is under development now. In this study, I interviewed worker who use this system, using PAC analysis method. PAC analysis is a method which is based on personal construct theory in mental model approach. They were asked the image and the impression concerning the teleworking. In this method, it was requested them to evaluate a resemblance degree between the images. Cluster analysis was carried out as data by an evaluation of the similarity. As a result, it suggested that worker can guess whether he can talk with co-worker of the distant place was very important from the point of view of their prospect for work.

Although the term SOHO is becoming a common word in China, the concept of telework including SOHO is not necessarily fully understood. To what extent telework is recognized and understood might be a key factor for the adoption of telework. In order to make clear the actual situation of Chinese people's perceptions of telework, SOHO and work-life balance (WLB), this research conducted questionnaire-based surveys especially for the undergraduate and graduate students who will work at the company in the future, and MBA students. The result shows that Chinese students tend to regard telework and SOHO as working-at-home (WAH). Furthermore, it also suggests that whether having work experience or not makes a big difference in telework acceptance between employees and employers.

In this report, we consider how the image of "Working at Home" has developed in Japan since 1990s when the current extensive diffusion of the internet has not yet occurred. We have analyzed more than 500 articles in newspapers and the interview data with the people who work mainly at home in order to extract the image of working at home. The image reflects the social structure and social consciousness constituting the common work environment and life style of employees in Japan. The consideration would suggest the fundamental issues regarding the development of telework in Japan. By analyzing data, we examine not only why people in Japan are unlikely to leave their office to do their own work at home including housework, but also how to make a complete change in the way of constructing "work" environment. As the result of consideration, we discuss the effective approaches to the issues.

The requirement definition which is an important process of operation which can be referred to as determining the success or failure of a systems configuration generally tends to become an ambiguous conclusion, and it will lead to failure of a systems configuration. Solution of the problem which arises by the requirement definition which is in the states where uncertainty is very high, such as existence of implicit requirements and ambiguous consensus building, performed consideration about the necessity for the confidential relation in a telework and construction in a requirement definition under the hypothesis that brew of the confidential relation by the persons concerned is effective, and is a point of a success.

Research has been done on continuation rate for learning from various perspectives such as conventional face-to-face, distance education, school and job skill learning, etc., but little is known for learning in leisure education. Compare to conventional education, leisure learners may have more hurdles on keeping their motivation on learning. In this study, we hypothesize that learner's value recognition and its change may contribute to the decision to continue learning, and propose a model on the hypothesis. As the example of the leisure education, we use an eLearning service to learn playing musical instruments.

It is believed that there has been a rapid increase in the number of people working from home due to the recent widespread use of crowdsourcing. 'Telework Population Factual Investigation' carried out by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism estimates that 21.3% of workers are teleworkers as of the end of 2012, and about 9.3 million of them are teleworkers working at home. However, teleworker is defined by the national statistics as those who fulfill the following 4 conditions: Those who earn revenue from their regular jobs; those who work with ICT tools such as e-mail; those who have more than one work places or one work place outside their company's office which are equipped with ICT tools; those who are working more than 8 hours a week at workplace outside their company. Teleworkers working at home are those who work with ICT tools for more than one minute per week at home as well as meet all of the above four criteria. Therefore, most of the workers who work at home through crowdsourcing are not regarded as teleworker. Considering change in social situation, this article proposes a revision to definition of teleworker which was given more than 10 years ago.

Recently, large organizations have been adopting telework for various reasons. On the other hand, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) think that telework is not for them because it is costly and does not produce any profit. Even if managers of SME are interested in adopting telework, they typically lack know-how and do not have ICT engineers to support telework adoption. In this paper, a doable telework for SME is proposed, that is, the way to utilize cloud computing and crowd sourcing is described with some examples.
