Enhancement of career education has been considered to be important in university education. It is said that internship programs are effective in career education. On the other hand, it is often pointed out that terms of internship programs are short in general, and that there is a large gap between the purpose of companies' cooperation and that of students' participation.
Therefore, we have practiced educational programs of an industry-academia-government collaboration type, using intellectual assets-based management reports as an educational tool. As the results, it is found that we can practice the educational programs which enable students to improve their career and satisfy both companies and students, even though terms of internship programs are short and there is a large gap between the purpose of companies and that of students.
It is also demonstrated that industry-academia-government collaboration could be effective not only for fields of research, and of science and engineering, but also for fields of education, humanities, and social science.

This report shows a successful case of industry-university cooperation by applying the academic research method. In this cooperative study, the academic research method, KANSEI evaluation in User Science Institute (USI, Kyushu University), was applied to take advantages of the user evaluation to remodel an esthetic salon. The new salon had been designed based on the results of the evaluation of the old salon, and the score of the new salon significant improved compared to the old salon. These results suggest that KANSEI evaluation is useful tool to bring the user opinion into beneficial change, and the application of academic research methods could be a useful model for industry-university cooperation.
