ジャーナル フリーAlthough the neutron spectra in the epi-thermal region in thermal reactors are usually assumed to be of 1/E distribution, it is important in some cases to consider the deviation of the distrtribution from the 1/E shape. In this paper an approach to the representation of the reaction rate of the epi-cadmium energy neutron is presented, and a characteristic parameter defining the deviation from the 1/E shape is introduced. This parameter is useful in studying the spatial dependence of epi-cadmium neutron spectra in thermal reactors. It is shown that a 235U fission detector is one of the best detectors for this purpose. The measurement involved was performed by using a 235U fission counter in the SHE critical assembly. The experimental results obtained are compared with theoreticalresults, and the agreement between the two is good.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (424K) -

ジャーナル フリーFrom the known values of the free energy of formation of several uranium compounds in the ternary system U-C-N, the condition of stable existence of the solid solution between UC and UN, UC1-xNx' was determined, and several ternary sections were obtained at constant temperature and constant nitrogen pressure.
In order to examine these results, some experiments were carried out under several different conditions of temperature and nitrogen pressure.
From these results, it is concluded that the stable compounds which exist in the ternary system U-C-N change from larger to smaller value of (log PN2)/T in the following order;
(1) U2N3 and carbon
(2) UC1-xNx and carbon
(3) UC1-xNx and carbon
(4) UC1-xNx' UC2 and metallic uranium
(5) Under the condition of high temperature and low pressure, that is, a very small ill valueof (log PN2)/T, tha range of stable existence of the solid solution, UC1-xNx' is very small.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (359K) -
