This paper was intended to explain simply the most basal data for the calculations on drainage schemes of flooded mines and to give some benefits to the practicians engaged. So the chronological data for the main spoutings in Zyoban coal-field are explained at first.
Most of all, decissions of Qη curves should be carefully inquired into, because those are the foundations for the draining plans.
The mechanical equipments may be elected from the amounts of discharges at the expected positions, and that of the electric and the power stations are prepared from the pressumed amounts of actually increase.
When a cirtain quantity of water is pumped up continuously, the theoretical formula for the time correspond to deplession may be express as
    _??_
The number of bored holes at the last part of the works may easily be require from the formula of mean velocity of discharge passing through pipe lines.
Thus the total calculations are decided.
For reference, the formula for the time was given here in the case of cutting suddenly into the other ruined mines.
At last it was applied to the actual works in Sumiyosi mine and gained good result.
Summery, the special abilities are required for these draining works, therefore it is need to train them always, and on account of accomplishing the purpose skillfully, the steady plans must be establish and carefull investigations must be pay to the drying conditions in the mines vicinity and all the preparations are made completely before the actual works.
