This paper describes an automatic device for recording the frequency response of a servo system.
The device consists of a low frequency generator, a switching mechanism, a frequency measuring device, a X-Y recorder, a few phase inverters and cathode follower circuits.
In order to obtain the frequency response of an analog circuit for the servo system, the X, Y components of the output voltage obtained by the switching mechanism synchronized to the frequency generator, are supplied to the X-Y recorder.
The low frequency generator operated by means of a photo tube and a rotating disc su pplies a constant amplitude voltage covering over the frequency range from 0.1 to 20 cycles per second. The accuracy of the results obtained by this device is estimated about 2 percent.
