The soluble constituents of sea water, ground water, salts sands, and soils of salt field “ Kohama” sampled in summer were det ermined. From the results it may be concluded that the local, diff erence of composition of ground water causes mainly the local difference of brine produced in thissalt field.
We studied the rapid determination of Mg by photoelectric photometer, using Titan Yellow or Brilliant Yellow as the reagents, and Sodium Alginate or Polyvinyl-lcohol and others as the protective colloids. Titan Yellow. and Sodium Alginate were most suitable, and many foreign ions did not interfere when the samples were salts, bitterns or sea-water. Good results were obtained applying to the analysis of salts, bittern and sea-water.
Following results were obtained: Priming was completely saluted by cyclon separatior and the steam turbine was operated without trouble by other safety apparatus, that is,emergeney valve before superheator (Wet steam side) and vacuum breaker of condensor.
