The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of children's images of their father and mother using the Rorschach methods. We conducted the Rorschach test involving 591 children, attending elementary (second, fourth, and sixth grade) and junior high (second grade) school students, in which they were asked to choose cards representing the image of a father or mother. A large number of children chose Card IV as the picture depicting the image of a father. On the other hand, their image of a mother varied depending on their gender and age. Understanding children's images of their parents helps us examine their problems.

We live with human relationships. Yet, what are true and sincere human relations? The leading character in King Lear bears firm and secure relations to Cordelia after his mental conflict. Shakespeare developed a subplot in this play and showed ideal human relations distinctly outlined against one character. He is Edmund, illegitimate son of Gloucester in a society full of prejudice and discrimination against illegitimate children. Edmund knows that his father was humiliated in public for recognizing him as his son. He suppresses his feelings and opts to cheat others. Why does he become quite another man before death? He comes to feel the signs of human relationships and love. True and sincere human relations have the power to change the heart of human beings. The basis of these relations is mutual respect and unconditional love. The present writer seeks to elucidate the inner world of Edmund from the viewpoint of human relations.

A recycling-based society is a closed system of material. Recycling is effective for the conservation of environmental resources to reduce the amount of waste and consumption of natural resources. But, repetition of recycling will increase the material-entropy to accumulate impurities in recycled resources. In order to reduce the material-entropy of recycled resources, the energy of low entropy must input from the external environment, and exhaust gas and exhaust heat of high entropy must discharge to the external environment. Therefore, as long as the recycling-based society is dependent on non-renewable energy such as fossil fuels, environmental conservation is limited. Large-scale use of renewable energy and recyclingbased society is inseparable for the construction of a sustainable society.

This paper examines the lives of Koreans in Japan since The Treaty of Kanghwa. Issues of marriage, work, education, accommodation, and voting rights are also discussed.Finally, it concludes by discussing the changes which have been made since the end of World War II and makes recommendations for the future.
